Hello, As requested, I reinstalled Alpha3 and the issue as described originally does appear again, the external screen shows blocks of black and white with dots of various colors.
I then installed with the latest image as of today (20110906) and things work well as described in comment #2. This indicates that it was not a random issue, but some problem actually present in A3. The systems tested were: Dell Precision M4500 (nVidia Corporation: GT215 [Quadro FX 1800M]) Dell Latitude E6410 (nVidia Corporation: GT218 [NVS 3100M]) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830955 Title: [nVidia graphics] Corrupted video when connecting external displays To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/830955/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
