Sorry, I only work with Linux via the GUI. I have no idea what you have suggested for me to try. I have given up on ubuntu, but thank you for trying to help. I will keep trying different Linux brands until I find one that works without resorting to "command line" entries to "fix" it. I started with CP/M, then DOS 3.0, etc. until I got Windows 3.0 (and every new release thru Windows 7). I started with Linux around the time I was using Windows 98 or SE, so now I just want one that works without having to "work" to make it work. Thanks again, but its just too much "work" to use ubuntu.
