Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firestarter
The GUI for Firestarter has a bug where it persists in showing a closed connection as if it were still active. This could present the problem of people thinking that they are being hacked when they are (probably) not, as in this example: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=829935 Here's another person who seems to have experienced this bug: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=81268 In my case, it is showing an active connection to a web server that I have verified with "netstat -pantu" is not actually connected, and it persists in showing this connection even if I restart the GUI, restart the networking or even if I restart the firestarter service. The only thing that seems to fix it is rebooting. ** Affects: firestarter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Closed connections shown in "Active connections" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112334 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
