BTW, Laszlo, if you're watching, thanks for getting that up into Debian so quickly! :)
** Summary changed: - [FFE] Upgrade the included version of Ceph + [FFE] please sync ceph 0.34-1 from Debian unstable ** Description changed: + ****SYNC INFO**** + + I have tested building and running ceph 0.34-1 on an up to date Oneiric + amd64 machine. Upstream has pointed out that the version in the archive + now does not work well with the 3.0 kernel, while this new version does. + + ***************** + The current version of Ceph (http://ceph.newdream.net) is pretty outdated. The included version is currently 0.27, where the project has already reached 0.34. The kernel client from Ceph is included in the kernel, so that is working out well. For the upcoming LTS we want to include a more recent version of Ceph which is tested that it works with the code shipped with the new LTS so that users can have the best "Ceph experience" possible. I'd volunteer to get this testing started as soon as the first alpha's of 12.04 start showing up (we have to wait for 11.10 first!) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/837667 Title: [FFE] please sync ceph 0.34-1 from Debian unstable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceph/+bug/837667/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
