Public bug reported: At least since Ubuntu alpha 3, nautilus requires selecting Cut/Copy twice, otherwise the Paste option does not activate. The behavior is the same if done from the Edit menu, the context menu or the Ctrl+{X,C,V} keys.
I get the same behavior in both my desktop and my laptop. ...:~$ uname -rsvpm && apt-cache policy nautilus Linux 3.0.0-10-generic #16-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 2 18:32:04 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 nautilus: Installed: 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: nautilus 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-10.16-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-10-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Sep 7 13:55:15 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Alpha amd64 (20110829.1) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug apport-lpi oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/844238 Title: Nautilus cut/copy/paste requires selecting cut/copy twice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/844238/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
