didier, To follow up, gPhoto is the library Shotwell uses to talk to cameras and import their photos. It could very well be that gPhoto is the culprit here, but it's odd to me that it would be working for so long and then stop, especially since there hasn't been any major changes to gPhoto in quite a while.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if your iPhone's operating system was updated in that time. Apple has historically made changes to the iPhone's OS that make it difficult for third-party apps to talk to them. It could very well be that the iPhone OS updated recently and that's causing the problem. If you could let us know what version of the iPhone's operating system you're using, that might be helpful. Also, try this from the console: $ sudo apt-get install gphoto2 (This is to ensure that the gphoto2 console application is installed, which it might be already.) Then try this with the iPhone attached and unlocked: $ gphoto2 --shell If you get an error doing this, then it's definitely a gPhoto problem and not something Shotwell can work around. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/838727 Title: Can't import photos from iphone To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/838727/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
