I am posting this as a separate bug because I would like to highlight a usage
problem that is stopping me adopting Ubuntu over Windows [Bug 1].
The cause is actually a combination of two known bugs that combine so that
printing is not possible from a USB install with persistence...
I like to run Ubuntu off a usb pendrive, so that I just carry my desktop and
work around with me...
However,
Persistence is broken in Fiesty [Bug 84591]
So I have dropped back to Dapper LTS
But, printing is broken in Dapper (LTS) [Bug 40795]
Fixing either of these bugs would allow users running a USB install with
persistence to print.
