I am very new to linux(about 3 weeks now), my mom wants me to administer all of her computers and network for her but she lives over an hour away. I heard of VNC and found that feisty has a VNC server built in with vino at System -> Preferences -> Remote Desktop. I am about to add a second machine to her network that will soon be followed by at least 2 more. I need to be able to access all of them from home or my laptop. The simple solution since I don't know much about linux(but am the top computer tech in my family) is to just use vino but it is very basic and only lets you grant access and set a password. I have spent several hours scanning the internet for a manual to tell me how to do it with no luck. Anything that could be done to at least make it usable with a network would be great.
