Thanks, I'll try that. There must be a bug in dconf-editor, because "dconf list /com/canonical/unity-2d/launcher/" shows the keys 'hide- mode', 'super-key-enable', and 'use-strut', but dconf-editor thinks that the launcher directory is the actually the 'hide-mode' key.
