I still haven't managed to resolve this unfortunatetly, and this is completely blocking me from using my Hauppauge media MVP to stream video files.
I've tried building the latest VLC release (0.8.6b) from the source tarball on the VLC website but it crashes in the same way. I've also tried building an older VLC release (0.8.5 - which is older than the verion in Edgy which worked for me) and it crashes in the same way. This suggests to me that the crash may be due to something outside of VLC (eg. some dependent library) which has changed between Edgy and Feisty. I'm happy to provide any further info if someone suggests what would be useful here, and how to obtain it... -- Segmentation fault when controling VLC via telnet interface https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/60046 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
