I am posting my additional comments here because I feel that bug #676166
looks quite different from what's happening on my laptop. Please see the
attached screen photos.
Ways to replicate - Close laptop lid, open lid, provide password, find
yourself greeted by a white screen with colorful pixels spread
everywhere...
