Public bug reported:

When I add my google calendar account through the new Online Accounts
feature I get an endless stream of notifications for all my calendar
events going back some time .. perhaps a year. Even after un-checking
setting in the Calendar for "Show reminder notifications", shutting down
using evolution --force-shutdown, cleaning up any evo processes and
purging the .cache/evolution/calendar directory, the reminders do not
stop flooding in. I expect it will be a long time until I stop
getting them, since there are probably several a day going back years ..
in multiple calendars.
