The traceback suggests the "totem" media player was not found. Given that this report was filed for checkbox 0.12.4 which is slightly outdated, and also that the image has changed as of recently, would you mind testing this either on a fully-updated Oneiric system (checkbox should be version 0.12.6) or from a LiveCD image (system testing should run fine from the Live CD) and letting me know if you still have this problem?
