Should pretty much be fixed in 0.9.0-0ubuntu2. It will show with an
icon, and switch automatically between indicator and gtkstatusicon when
necessary.
However, you will still be able to open multiple instances if you re-run
it, and this is expected; as there needs to be a way to create new
instances of nm-applet per user.
