Ah, the g-s-d task was opened for changing the default for lid closing.
We have defaulted to suspending on lid close for a while now, and it
makes sense as well (you are about to put it into a bag, etc.). There
are sure people who liked to configure it otherwise, so for this we
desperately need the option back in the control center.
