It seems that Evolution now adds the events (invites) automatically to
my default calendars too which it was not doing before (this is similar
behaviour to Blackberry, etc.).  I think the issue may be with the case
where the event is removed or fails to be initially created
automatically.

I went into my default calendar (Google) via browser and removed the
event related to the working invite above (Test 9) which had been added
automatically by Evolution in an unaccepted state, and then re-loaded
evolution and the "reply" option was gone.

I think perhaps when Evolution fails to properly create the initial
event (in unaccepted state) it ends up in this scenario where it does
not present the reply option.
