I'm ambivalent on whether the icons should be retained. On the one hand, (non-document) tabs shouldn't have both icons and text in their titles. On the other, tabs aren't scalable to future connection types, multiple network adapters, etc, so I think they eventually should change from tabs to a listbox, and that listbox should use icons.
... Anyway, in bug 541882 the equivalent problem in the Sound Preferences was fixed while retaining the icons. Basically: - ubuntu-mono should provide icons with names like -wired-panel, -wireless-panel, and -wwan-panel - the network menu should use those icons - Humanity or Hicolor should provide icons with names like -wired, -wireless, and -wwan - the Edit Connections window should use those icons. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/834495 Title: Edit Connections tabs have wrong-color mono icons To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/834495/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
