I tried to reproduce this bug with vlc, calibre and anki but could not. Does it
still happen for any of you with libqtgui4 version 4:4.7.4-0ubuntu2? If so, can
you try this?
- make a copy of the config files (.anki folder for anki,
.config/vlc/vlc-qt-interface.conf)
- delete them
- check if it "fixes" the bug
- if it does, attach the config files to this report
