This is what follows the scenario before: -Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1 actually installed (i get the new UI) -tried to create an 11.10 usb startup disk and do a fresh install of an usb stick. -while installing, "installer has crashed" error message, after which installer exits and nothing installs.
2nd scenario i tried today is make a bootable usb from a freshly downloaded iso image and create it with unetbootin. The procedure is fine, and when i install (i enter all the details of my account, password, etc) installer crashes again and nothing is installed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/850058 Title: Upgrading 11.04 ---> 11.10 beta 1 - "Can't Install Ubuntu-Desktop" message To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/850058/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
