The label used for any third-party archive is completely up to the
provider of that archive. It's the "Label:" field from the archive's
"Release" file. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#channels>

For a PPA, Launchpad insists that you enter its label as a "Display
name" field when you set up the PPA.

So if you think any archive has a bad label, contact the person who set
it up.
