didn't work for me. I've simply run:
rm /lib/modules/2.6.20-15-generic/kernel/drivers/ata/ata_piix.ko
update-initramfs -u -k 2.6.20-15-generic"

you can manually install a kernel downloading the *.deb files and running "dpkg
-i file.deb", but the solution above is much better.
