I can confirm that this happens on my Compaq Presario X1000 as well. In
Natty there was a workaround; setting "use_time_for_policy" to false in
gnome-power-manager's gconf configuration. But that doesn't work
anymore.

This bug has been known for years, and now the workaround is gone too.
Could someone please fix this..?
