I have the same problem with VLC and it seems to appear when the playlist window is opened. Deleting ~/.config/vlc and ~/.local/share/vlc helps but as soon as the playlist is shown the erroneous behaviour is back.
It also crashes unity-window-decorator. I can clearly reproduce it on two machines, both running Ubuntu 11.10 AMD64. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/848893 Title: VLC starts up but messes up the display and has to be killed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/848893/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
