I also have this issue, I successfully installed "ATI/AMD proprietary
FGLRX graphics driver", and that gives me the Catalyst control center
but that wont open because it says I dont have a amd driver installed,
there is another restricted driver called "ATI Fire GL" when I try to
install that it gives me the "You have held broken pakages" error
