There seems to be a problem with the system bus. Could you please run
the following two commands and paste the output here:
sudo /usr/bin/dbus-send --system --dest=org.debian.apt --type=signal
/org/debian/apt org.debian.apt.CacheChanged
sudo /usr/bin/gdbus emit --system -o /org/debian/apt -s
org.debian.apt.CacheChanged
