So, Ubuntu 10.04 is the most recent LTS. Ubuntu Software Center 2.0.7 is the latest version available in Ubuntu 10.04. And it seems like a lot of people are getting an error when trying to update to 2.0.7. For those three reasons, though it is a really old version, I'm tentatively marking this as High. If we can issue a 2.0.8 that fixes the problem, I think we should.
To those people who reported duplicates of this bug, where I recently suggested that the bug might have been fixed since, I apologize: I hadn't realized the problem still occurs. The earliest report of this problem is from 2010-08-18 (three weeks after 2.0.7 was released), and the most recent is from 2011-07-24. ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/647349 Title: package software-center 2.0.7 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1.
