Public bug reported:

Ever since I updated to ubuntu feisty I had problems with enemy territory
brightness level. It keeps getting unset during gameplay. I didn't see an error
in the terminal, nor a notification about it.
I've tried these packages:
[nvidia-glx]
[nvidia-glx-new]
..with no luck, unfortunately it keeps doing the same thing.

It keeps happening every 20 minutes or so. the screen gets darker (not
black, but darker), and the brightness bar (in system menu "calibrate
brightness") remains at 2.0 (brightest). When i move that bar it
instantly changes back to the normal, bright, viewable game.

I installed enemy territory following these instructions:
http://www.katanoon.nl/ubu-e/install.php
And I start enemy territory with this:
et +connect 85.14.216.78:27960

It connects to that game server and goes directly to gameplay (not
etmain, but jaymod if that matters)

I've seen this in Feisty Beta -- after the bad kernel accident i reformatted to
ubuntu edgy and then installed the stable feisty when it was released -- but I
thought it would be a minor setback and it would be fixed before it went
stable. Seeing the matter hasn't been fixed, I thought of posting. I'm
currently using:
Version: 1:1.0.9631+2.6.20.5-15.20

As a footnote, it was working with no problem in ubuntu edgy. I don't
know what might be the cause of this, it surely isn't the game or the
server, since it was working in ubuntu edgy.
