We can close a lot of by, for P, defining a dbus search interface
through banshee including a standalone daemon that can search when
banshee isn't running. Then we can get the results exactly as they are
in banshee without having to re-implement them, and always playing catch
up. Didn't have time for this cycle with the short notice, but this
should be our plan of action for next.
