** Description changed: I started with Ubuntu 11.10 alpha3, and have been upgrading daily since. About 1.5 weeks ago, I rebooted after an update and was logged into Unity 2D. Unity 3D is no longer an option for me. How can I debug this? I'm running a fully updated 11.10 installation on a Lenovo X1 laptop. + --- + .tmp.unity.support.test.0: + + ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu1 + Architecture: amd64 + CompizPlugins: [core,bailer,detection,composite,opengl,compiztoolbox,decor,vpswitch,commands,imgpng,regex,grid,move,mousepoll,resize,place,unitymtgrabhandles,animation,expo,snap,gnomecompat,workarounds,ezoom,wall,staticswitcher,session,fade,scale,unityshell] + CompositorRunning: None + DistUpgraded: Log time: 2011-08-11 12:41:01.818427 + DistroCodename: oneiric + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 + DistroVariant: ubuntu + DkmsStatus: + virtualbox, 4.1.2, 3.0.0-10-generic, x86_64: installed + virtualbox, 4.1.2, 3.0.0-11-generic, x86_64: installed + virtualbox, 4.1.2, 3.0.0-9-generic, x86_64: installed + GraphicsCard: + Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0126] (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) + Subsystem: Lenovo Device [17aa:21e8] + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Alpha amd64 (20110802.1) + MachineType: LENOVO 129126U + Package: unity (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.0.0-11-generic root=/dev/mapper/hostname-root ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-11.18-generic 3.0.4 + Tags: oneiric running-unity oneiric running-unity oneiric running-unity ubuntu + Uname: Linux 3.0.0-11-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-08-13 (40 days ago) + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare + dmi.bios.date: 05/19/2011 + dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.bios.version: 8MET18WW (1.06 ) + dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available + dmi.board.name: 129126U + dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.board.version: Not Available + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information + dmi.chassis.type: 10 + dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.chassis.version: Not Available + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr8MET18WW(1.06):bd05/19/2011:svnLENOVO:pn129126U:pvrThinkPadX1:rvnLENOVO:rn129126U:rvrNotAvailable:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: + dmi.product.name: 129126U + dmi.product.version: ThinkPad X1 + dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO + version.compiz: compiz N/A + version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu22 + version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.26-1ubuntu1 + version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 7.11-0ubuntu3 + version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A + version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.11-0ubuntu3 + version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6+7ubuntu7 + version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.6.0-1ubuntu13 + version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.99~git20110811.g93fc084-0ubuntu1 + version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.15.901-1ubuntu2 + version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20110411+8378443-1 ** Attachment added: "BootDmesg.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856324/+attachment/2440153/+files/BootDmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856324 Title: Unable to launch Unity 3D To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/856324/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
