Public bug reported:
The attached patch fixes a problem with Speakers and Headphones being
assigned the same DACs with some configurations. The problem makes both
Headphones volume control the Speaker volume as well. (And the other way
around.)
Upstream has fixed this in 3.1 as a part of a much larger patch set (see
e g commit 3af9ee6b83) which is probably not suitable for back-porting
into 3.0.
