I will tag bug #168417 as 'back-port-proposed' - AFAICT there are no
string changes in the commit, and it does not depend on other changes
elsewhere.
Linking as duplicate to Bug #168417 “parameters ending with '\' causes

status if you don't agree and think these are different issues.
