This is not truth. In my computer, sometimes it takes about 5 seconds to load 
(and in middletime, I click the icon again and then 2 windows open). And when 
nautilus window is open in trash "folder", we can consider that 'trash is 
running" (at least to common users).

Another point: consistency. When you click in an application icon, it
pulses. When you click in a device icon, it pulses. Why trash don't?

Another thing: the same that was said here[1] is valid.
