Then perhaps you could tell me where to post the problem. I thought this was Ubuntu bugs. Since it happens in all apps as well as things connected directly with the OS, and not in Windoze on this same machine, it seems to be in Ubuntu itself (e.g. the "About Ubuntu" screen).
