Reopening, confirming this still doesn't work in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (as
indicated in comment #3).
The same camera works in 10.10.
I updated libv4l from the PPA (ppa:libv4l/ppa) and got better results
(cheese shows an image, then immediately crashes) after such update.
