This also happens for me. If I play an unprotected AAC audio file such as something ripped using iTunes in the Totem media player, I get prompted twice to install codecs before the file will play. The first time the codec wizard pops up when playing an AAC file, it suggests installing a certain gstreamer plugin (forget the name). However, this does not support AAC, and the codec wizard appears again when playback is attempted after the codec installation. This time, it suggests three different codecs, one of which does - in fact - support AAC. It seems like there should only be one prompt and the codecs required for AAC - and only those - should be listed for installation in the codec wizard.
