Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I am not sure of this is a ubiquity bug or maybe a grub bug, but ill
will report it here first just in case.

Ok, so ever since Breezy, the ubuntu installer (ubiquity) has not
generated the correct menu.lst . It has messed something up along the
line, and even though i forget what it messed up in breezy and dapper,
when it happened to me again in feisty i took logs of it so hopefully
this can be fixed.

So basically, i install ubuntu and it restarts, and when im brought to
grub to select what OS to choose (ubuntu or windows) i pick the top
ubuntu one and it says "not found" and then i can go back to the menu.
This also happens with the "safe mode" and "memtest" options.

For this instance, i had to change using grub the line that says "root:
(hd0,1) " to "root: (hd0,0) or else nothing will boot.

And for reference, here are my "menu.lst"'s before, just fresh after a
fiesty install and after i edited it so its correct. (these two files
are attached)

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
