Things I have tried: Loaded older Linux kernal version. Result: No changes Loaded safe graphics mode. Result: No changes Did a complete uninstall/reinstall of ALSA. Result: No changes Installed ALSA GUI, all volumes set to correct levels.
Dual booted Jolicloud OS. Result: Audio works perfectly fine, ruling out hardware problem. Further comments: This problem arose with no warning. Nothing out of the ordinary was installed on my computer.
