  I think there's a new greeter in the ubuntu iso called 'maybe-ubiquity'.
  It seems it was added around Feb 2010 (ubiquity 2.1.18). It's not
  enabled in Xubuntu, not even in natty, and I don't know why (and I can't
  find any obvious doc about that).
  
- Could you give any pointer about that (or tell me what's currently missing to 
make it work)?
+ Xubuntu needs to have the desktop images switched to this function for 
P-series, LTS release.
