How can you say you cannot speculate. I have given you the computer name and model. Reports of this bug have been all over the internet since the beta version was released.
If you would have just googled "no backlight, ubuntu 11.04" you will get a ton of threads and everyone wonders why you guys haven't done anything yet. it is already a reported bug, but I thought I'd try reporting it again in hopes that someone would actually pay attention. That is all the hardware info I can give you. I have an acer aspire 5732 z I hope you check into it and get the problem fixed.
