I didn't use any browser. Just used youtube-dl. And I guess that my browser *can* show Hebrew letters. But this, of course, explains why the title appeared as an empty string: the -t option only cares about ASCII characters. And this is by design. If you want to get any other characters, you have to use -l. > I get an error even if I not using -t, and even with Video's with English > title. > (E.G. youtube-dl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIMO0eglEJA) I get no error here with version 2011.08.04: ,----[ youtube-dl -t http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIMO0eglEJA ] | [youtube] Setting language | [youtube] FIMO0eglEJA: Downloading video webpage | [youtube] FIMO0eglEJA: Downloading video info webpage | [youtube] FIMO0eglEJA: Extracting video information | [download] Destination: Ubuntu_11_04_Natty_Narwhal_Final_Release_Review_Tutorial-FIMO0eglEJA.mp4 | [download] 1.9% of 199.94M at 1.77M/s ETA 01:50^C | | ERROR: Interrupted by user `---- So, I guess that the problem is somewhere else.
