  Hello,

  Ubuntu 11.10 32bit (beta) on HP 6730b laptop. Updated every morning.

  I leave my laptop running on my desk all day, and the past 3 days after
  I have come back to it from some short time away (having had the screen
  locked) the computer has gone into standby. It is plugged in (very
  rarely gets unplugged)

  Upon turning it back on, it shows a new battery in the power manager,
  with a status of 'not present'. This in turn seems to make the system
  think it is critically low on power, hence the standby.

  $ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
  present:                 no

  $ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
  present:                 yes
  capacity state:          ok
  charging state:          charged
  present rate:            0 mA
  remaining capacity:      4682 mAh
  present voltage:         12469 mV

  The new battery BAT1 does not show in upower, which makes this bug
  differ somewhat to the similar one:
