Why you changed the status to "Fix released"? What you mean by "fix" - in my opinon periodical manual (or made by cron) removing of the contents of ~/.local/share/gvfs-metadata/ and killing of gvfsd-metadata processes could not be treated as "fix".
The problem still persists on 10.04 ans is very annoying, especially when home directories reside on nfs server: it lead to server's hang very often: each workstation begins to generate up to 100mbit/sec traffic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517021 Title: gvfsd-metadata causes 100% CPU usage To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/517021/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
