Hi,
1.0.0-0ubuntu1 doesn't clean /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf,
because $LAST_VERSION passed to dpkg-maintscript-helper is too low:
0.9.7-0ubuntu1 (that was the one when I made the patch for this change),
and unfortunately, 0.9.7-0ubuntu2 was uploaded in the meantime... This
probably needs to be bumped to 1.0.0-0ubuntu1 in debian/lightdm-gtk-
greeter.postinst, debian/lightdm-gtk-greeter.postrm and debian/lightdm-
gtk-greeter.preinst (sorry, I can't provide a patch before this
evening).
So the conffile is not cleaned, update-alternatives won't replace a file
with a symlink, of course, so I can't theme the greeter (and I'm
starting to grow tired of that "whole lightdm is so better than gdm
thing", because after weeks of fighting it still isn't usable by
derivatives one day before the final freeze).
