Public bug reported:
Using Oneiric Beta2 with today updates on a dell e6410 laptop the laptop and
external monitors stay purple (looks like the grub background color)
during boot and after.
- the video card is an intel i5 one
- the boot works "normally" out of the screen issue (i.e I can switch to a vt,
the numpad led changes, ctrl-alt-del restart the box)
- the issue doesn't happen when booting undocked
- the issue doesn't happen when using gfxpayload=text
- the issue didn't happen in natty on the same box
- booting undocked and docking the laptop once lightdm is loaded works fine
