Hi Jono! It is a known (non-trivial) problem that the standard device can switch during suspend/resume (this is due to PulseAudio running while the USB stack is dismantling or not fully has recovered, so it thinks the USB device is unplugged and then plugged in again), but this sounds like something different.
Maybe a PulseAudio log can help here? If upgrading to pulseaudio 1.0 does not help, follow these instructions (and keep the log running during suspend/resume) : https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/861938 Title: Unsuspending causes devices not to be recognized (e.g USB headsets / webcams) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/861938/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
