The issue is it LOOKS very unprofessional. The cause is the Dash transparency setting of "static" and what it remembers. For some reason, my beta version was defaulted to this and if it were not for me __knowing__ to look in the compiz configuration settings would I have figured it out.
A better solution would be for "static transparency" to actually produce a background comprised of the actual desktop wallpaper/color used. While I will post at another point, it is worth mentioning here also that the "Active Blue" setting results in a view that is too cluttered resulting in difficulty in reading the "in focus" materials/filenames/etc... A reasonable setting must be attained here. I find that the most aesthetic appearance is a "static blur" that is done with a clean copy of my wall paper. My second preference is a static color or a very DARK smoke with limited transparency. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/759888 Title: unity transparency/blur not updated when background changes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/759888/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
