I don't know whether it is now due to the controller on the motherboard
or whether it is caused by the ST Lab A-223 sata controller that I
mounted few weeks ago.

The filling of the logs is occurring with the actual 2.6.20-15 kernel on
my ubuntu feisty upgraded from edgy. It does not occur with the
2.6.20-13 kernel that I am using now.

I will add the output of dmesg and lspci in a few minutes after booting
with the 2.6.20-15 kernel. Let me know if you need more information.
