Public bug reported:

After upgrading to the recent 9.0.5 or 9.1.1 PostgreSQL backport packages,
'psql' prints a warning to stderr before starting:
DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH is not a supported variable name at
/usr/bin/dpkg-architecture line 214.

Everything still works, but it's just annoying.

** Affects: postgresql-common (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
