Public bug reported:
Can you tell me why I get the following when I open the terminal if I
either try to install Feisty from the CD (have tried both DESKTOP &
ALTERNATE & yes the integrity was checked) or when I upgrade to Feisty
from an Edgy installation ? Besides the info below I get a constant
beeping of the system speaker (not the sound system) about once every
second as long as the terminal is left open. I do NOT get this problem
on the very same machine if I install either Dapper or Edgy. Me thinks
you have a serious bug in Feisty !!! I have go now, I can no longer
stand this constant beeping.
