tried with options reboot=a,w still no proper rebooting or shutdown
same hardware as original submitter p8z68-v pro, i7 2600k
tried with different boot options acpi=off, noapic, still no luck systems just
hangs while shutting down or rebooting with 2.6.38-11-generic
using gpt partitions on the system with uefi booting
this problem happens with the live cd as well
